AFA Roof De-icing Cable

AFA Roof De-icing Cable is a carefully constructed twin-conductor constant wattage heating cable engineered to prevent the formation of ice dams and snow accumulation on roofs, gutters, and downspouts. This cable is frequently utilized in various settings such as factories, offices, and homes.

The AFA Roof De-icing Cable generates heat through its internal heating conductor, and it is important to note that it cannot be cut under any circumstances. Additionally, its segments must not overlap. The cable operates effectively at 120V. It has a maximum operating temperature of 85°F (30°C) and should not be installed in temperatures below 15°F (-10°C). The system comprises a heating cable and a cold lead, with the latter connecting to the power supply through a plug. The cold lead is essentially a standard electrical wire equipped with a plug, available in both European and North American standard formats.

The operation of the AFA Roof De-icing Cable is regulated by an external thermostat, provided by AFA, to control the heat output. This thermostat functions optimally in ambient temperatures ranging from 4°C to 13°C, disconnecting the circuit when the temperature exceeds 4°C. Designed for longevity, the AFA Roof De-icing Cable is built to perform well for over 10 years and comes with a 3-year warranty. It has received certification from CSA in North America.
